Event Information

 

TOURNAMENT LOCATION: Matadome located in Redwood Hall at the northeast end of the campus of California State University, Northridge

 

QUALIFICATIONS: Taekwondo practitioner of all ages, sex and ranks, who have trained and understand the Taekwondo competition rules.

 

COMPETITION FEES:
1) $79 for one event, $89 for two events, $99 for three events.(NO REFUNDS)
2) $5 discount if register on or before February 28th 2013
3) Online and Mail-in registration cutoff date & time: Thursday 3/21/2013 at 11:59 PM.

 

ADMISSION FEES: $10     4 & under = Free

 

COMPETITION RULES: The current USAT competition rules will govern this championship.

 

KYROOGI COMPETITION: Sparring competition begins with the younger age groups first (all belts).
Uncontested Competitors will be offering an exhibition match with competitor who may have different weight, rank and age after lunch in a designated area. Parents and coaches are required to present with the competitor to consent the match. Please do not go to the tournament staff to request a match; all matches will be handling at the designated area.

MANDATORY EQUIPMENT: WTF approved white v-neck uniform only (no color trim except on black belt v-neck). All Kyoroogi competitors must wear (WTF approved): white, red or blue headgear, red and blue reversible chest protector, forearm pad, shin and instep pad, groin cup (male only, worn inside) and mouthpiece. Open Finger Gloves is optional. No Eye Glasses or Goggles allowed. Each competitor must provide his or her own equipment. Necessary equipment may be sold at the tournament site.

 

COMPETITOR AWARDS: All divisions will be maximum of 4 competitors with the exception of Black Belt ages 14 to 17.

Poomsae: There will be one 1st, one 2nd and two 3rd place winners.
Kyoroogi: There will be one 1st, one 2nd and two 3rd place winners.
Fastest Kicks: There will be one 1st, one 2nd and two 3rd place winners.

 

SCHOOL AWARDS: Most Participants Award for Schools: 1st to 3rd places trophies for the schools with the most participants. (Please be sure that all Entry Forms from one school/club bear exactly the same school name).

PARKING: Parking at CSU-Northridge is $6.00 for the tournament day.
